As a private teacher I want to develop in my students a thorough perception as well as self-assurance in answering test questions and being capable to deal with new situations. My approach is actually based on the opinion that learning occurs in an environment of mutual appreciation where the student is stimulated to think and establish new relationships on their own. According to my practice personal training has a special sense to students thanks to the opportunity to resolve the children' own boundaries to learning in a manner which sets the foundations for a lengthy and thorough comprehension of the subject.
Analytic thinking
My approach depends on the child's needs and learning style. However, the base of my teaching approach is motivating students to think on their own, operating existing situations whenever it can be. |To my mind it is extremely important to provide children with a working skills and to develop problem-solving skill-sets for improving upon this knowledge. Teaching a person to think critically is at the fundamental of what exactly a scholar have to take away from any subject program.
The role of mentoring
Training scholars belongs to the most enduring increases a tutor can bring in, and it is a process, which I consider to be fun and beneficial. From my practice, I discovered the effect of engaging scholars with the help of models and of delivering content at a level that assumes intelligence and yet not specifically knowledge, blending the unknown with the known in a mix which brings the child the disposition of possibility rather than that of impossibility that impressive and official approaches can lay down.
How I teach
I begin with topics the scholars are comfortable with and step progressively to more complicated fields as their self-confidence is being raised. I employ questions and examples to test comprehending constantly. I tend not to lecture to scholars or ask them to memorise things. Nor do I do the students' investigation for them!
I usually concentrate on test-style as well as past paper questions to examine, exercise and improve the student's understanding and technique. I also give a lot of importance to some of the less obvious yet vital skill sets for instance, essay technique and structure, logical thought, and the useful use of numbers and graphs.
